From Monday 5 to Friday 9 August 2024 In a friendly atmosphere, the Viroin Ecomuseum, in collaboration with Nadine Orban of the non-profit organization ArBRe, invites you to discover the craft of spinning, from sheep to ball.

About the event
During this 5-day course, you will discover the different stages of working with wool, including sorting, washing and spinning on a spinning wheel.
On the agenda:
- Sorting and washing the wool.
- Carding.
- Introduction to spinning.
- Spinning on a spinning wheel.
- Introduction to natural dyeing.
- Introduction to wool felting.
All the techniques you learn during the workshop will be easy to reproduce at home, allowing you to bring your creative projects to life. At the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with the creations they have made.
Practical information:
- Dates: from Monday 05 to Friday 09 August 2024.
- Hours: 9am to 4pm.
- Bring your own picnic.
- Audience: 16 years and older.
- Price: 240 euros per participant (limited places).
All raw materials (wool) and supplies (spinning wheel, wool preparation equipment, etc.) are included in the price. If you have your own working spinning wheel, you are welcome to bring it.
Trainees should also bring their yellow onion peelings. You can save them now and bring them to the training session!
