The Viroin Ecomuseum presents the main traditional trades once practiced in the village communities of Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse. Departing from a reconstituted village square, discover thethe workshopsof several typical craftsmen of the region. Thousands of tools, explanatory panels, videos illustrate vanished or little-known village trades: forester, charcoal maker, cooper, tanner, saddler, shoemaker, clog maker, blacksmith, wheelwright...
Also discover an industrial clog-maker's workshop dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Testimony of an industry which, at the beginning of the 20th century, made Viroinval rich.
